What inspired the name Skeleton Key Adventures?
A skeleton key is a master key that can open numerous locks. It can also be used for to describe any device capable of opening a variety of locks. We believe that the human mind is the greatest skeleton key of all and the “Key” to solving any challenge and adventure.
What is the cost to play?
To play in an adventure, a ticket for each participant must be purchased. The tickets are $25 each, and must be paid in full to finalize your adventure reservation. See our rescheduling and cancellation policy below.
Will I actually be locked inside of a room?
Not at all. You will be able to leave any escape room at any time and pause the adventure if needed.
What is the age limit?
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The adult will count towards the 8 person maximum per room. Babies in carriers are welcome anytime.
What if we need help during the adventure?
At Skeleton Key Adventures our philosophy differs than most other escape rooms, we actively want you to succeed! During your adventure, your Game Master will be listening and observing from the Control Room. Any time you need help, simply ask aloud and your GM will offer hints and clues. Ask for 100 clues or ask for none…this is your adventure! For those of you that are a bit more…competitive…we do have a system in place that gauges your skill based on the number of clues you ask for.
Do we need to show up early?
We request that you show up 15 minutes before your reservation time. This way we can go over the rules with your group, answer questions, and show you where the restrooms are. Adventures will start at the scheduled time, so groups arriving late may have less than 60 minutes to play.
What is your cancellation policy?
We do not offer refunds, and all sales are final. Once payment is processed and the reservation is confirmed, cancellations cannot be accepted. Reschedules may be permitted with at least 24 hours notice. There are absolutely no refunds or reschedules for no-shows.
Can we take pictures or video record with our phones, or any other devices, in the rooms?
Unfortunately no, we ask that you keep your cell phones, cameras, and/or recorders in a safe place while in the rooms to help you have an UNPLUGGED adventure and preserve the mystery for future players. Photos are encouraged in the lobby to capture the moment of victory after escaping!
Are all rooms suitable for children?
Our rooms are family friendly! While not specifically designed for children but are robust against normal wear and tear. Children accompanied by an adult will have a enjoyable adventure.
Will I be in a room with people I don’t know?
Not unless requested (such as for team building or groups discounts). Rooms can be booked for 2-8 players and participants are set at the time of their reservation.
How do we book a room if several different people are paying?
Our online booking system, Bookeo, will walk you through this process. You must book for the total amount of guests and then Bookeo will help you pay separately.
Where do we park?
There are several free parking spots available on N Main St. in front of the building.
